    The Ed’s finally reached Yuki Nagato’s apartment as quickly as they could. They parked in front of the building, and Double D rushed to the doors before Ed and Eddy could even get out of the van. He pushed the monitor button and began to talk.

“Hello?! Is anyone there?”

“Double D? It’s Haruhi. Hold on, I’ll let you guys in.”

The doors open, and the three of them raced up to Yuki’s apartment. They found Yuki in her bedroom looking very pale, which made Double D’s heart sink.

“What’s wrong with her?” He said in a grim tone.

“I.....I have no clue. Kyon, Koizumi, and Mikuru are doing our best to make her feel better.”

“Where is Kyon anyway?” Eddy asked.

“He went outside to get a breather I think. That’s what I assumed. Well, anyway, I’m gonna go help Mikuru with making that soup for Yuki.”

The three Ed’s stayed behind to keep her company, with Double D sitting by Yuki’s side. He tried to communicate with her, but to no avail. “If she were to die,” he thought, “then I have no other reason to stay......”

Ed and Eddy looked very concerned. Until Eddy’s phone rang. It was Yui, she was wondering where they were.

“Oh, sorry we couldn’t meet up with you Yui.....Yuki’s not feeling so good.”

“Really?! What’s wrong with her?”

“I don’t know, it’s not for her an ali......I mean....she doesn’t seem like to the type to get sick very much. Is what I was meant to say!” Eddy said nervously.

“Well say no more Eddy. I’ll stop by when my mom comes home. Bye!”

“Bye....”

Eddy hung up, leaving Yui in a state of shock. She was very concerned for her classmate, and tried not assuming the worst. She just sat on her couch, and turned on the T.V. until her mother came home. But for some reason, she took a while to get to the house, and Yui became more worried. Before she could reach her phone, she heard a loud horn from outside, which made her jump. She opened the door, and saw the taxi cab her mother usually took.

“Yui! Get in the cab, quick!” Miss Mori shouted.

“Uh, okay!”

She hurried to get her house key, locked the door and raced to the cab. As soon as she got in and fastened her seat belt, the cab drove off very fast. Yui noticed a pale shocked look on her mom’s face.

“....Is something wrong mom?”

“It’s your friend Eddy! He’s in big trouble!”

“Why’s that?”

“Well.....you remember hearing those reports of the Zig Zag Killer?”

Yui felt frightened of where this was going. “Uh....yeah?”

“Well.....” Miss Mori paused. “It turns out....the agency hired him...”

“...*Gasp* To go after Eddy?!”

Both started to tear up. “Why would they do that?!”

“Well, Itsuki Koizumi noticed that one time where Eddy was close to blowing up at Miss Suzumiya again, and told us all about it. Feeling paranoid, they sent a message to the Zig Zag killer and requested him to exterminate poor Eddy.”

Yui’s felt her heart shatter into pieces. Someone she use to admire turned out to spark this awful turn of events to happen to Eddy. She couldn’t believe her mom’s agency could consider such an awful thing to turn to. He noticed Mr. Arakawa driving.

“You don’t think this is all right....do you Mr. Arakawa?”

Mr. Awakawa considered Yui’s question for a moment.

“I may feel uneasy about master Elric being part of the SOS Brigade, but I do know that slaughter is not the answer.”

Yui felt a bit relieved. The next thing she knew it, they arrived at the apartment complex shorter than expected, noticing the Ed’s van at the front. Both Yui and Miss Mori got out of the car and addressed their plan.

“Alright, so you tell Eddy about all this, and I’ll go get backup.”

“Back up? From where?”

“From the only people that we know who could go after someone like Zig Zag.”

Yui had a quick idea of who she was talking about. She gave a trusting nod, and ran up to the apartment. As she got up and met with the Ed’s, she told them everything about what the Agency’s planning to have happen to Eddy. Eddy was shocked.

“So they’re STILL not over that one night?! Even though I made up with Suzumiya?”

“Well.....that one time where she tried to get you and Ed ready for that retry of your final exam got them paranoid again...making them result to violence....”

Ed felt heart-struck. What he felt was a group of people he considered friends, would want someone close to him dead. Eddy spoke up.

“We have to fix this!”

“But how?” Yui asked.

Eddy got out his P.T.T.P.D. that he got from Mikuru Asahina. “By traveling back in time!”

“To the night where you harmed Haruhi Suzumiya?” Double D asked.

“Exactly!”

“Well......I don’t want to leave Yuki Nagato behind.”

“Why, the others will take care of her.” Eddy remarked.

“....I don’t care.”

“Well....I understand. We’ll deal with this ourselves. Come on Ed, Yui.....lets set things right!”

The three of them went into the closet where no one would notice them, and Eddy set up the date. Ed and Yui grabbed on to Eddy, and they all went back in time. It was dark, and Eddy got out of the closet to turn on the lights. Ed noticed that they couldn’t hear there past selves arguing with Haruhi, because the whole apartment was empty.

“Are you sure this is the right time Eddy?” asked Yui.

“No.....I sent us back to the date where future versions of Ed and Double D stopped one of my pranks on Kyon going horribly wrong. We must be past the time Yuki restored my old memories and she has to come in any minute...”

But before Eddy could finish, they heard the door open. Yuki came into the living room spotting Ed, Eddy and Yui. Eddy soon explained everything and why they came back to see her, when she wasn’t feeling sick.

“I know you just helped me out already, but I need your help again. Please?”

Yuki nodded, and went into her bedroom. She came back with the jar of that soothing liquid she created with Double D that one night. She loaded up that little dart gun with the serum, and gave it to Eddy.

“Uh....what is this?”

“It’s a serum that will sooth your blood pressure and your mind. Once you shoot yourself with it, your situation will seise to exist.”

Eddy wasn’t so sure about shooting his past self with it, so he trusted Yui to do it. But then, Eddy thought of something. He gave Yuki the P.T.T.P.D. and whispered something into her ear. She nodded, and with her alien powers, she split the device into two making two copies of
it, leaving Ed, and Yui shocked. Then Eddy gave Yui one of the devices.

“You go and stop me from attacking Haruhi.”

“What about you? Where are you going?”

“It’s....a secret. Trust me, I’ll be fine.”

Yui nodded and walked off back into the bedroom.

“Come on Ed!”

“Alright!”

The two of them left to solve the mess, leaving Eddy with Yuki once more.

“Good luck.” She replied.

“...Thanks.”

Eddy went off to the unknown date he decided to go to....
