Not So Serious Steven

I would say this was an original idea of mine, but it actually isn't! Yup. This was an actual thing the Crewniverse did very early in production. It was based on the episode "Serious Steven", and Ian Jones Quartey made this little joke storyboard when they pitched the episode. He had Clarence be Steven and Uncle Grandpa be Garnet, (Which btw, this was before Say Uncle was a thing) mainly because those were kinda "sister shows" to Steven Universe, since they were in production around the same time.

But what made me really smile is how he had Eddy be Amethyst. He did so because apparently Ed, Edd n Eddy was one of Rebecca Sugar's influences. Plus the fact that writer and storyboard artist worked on EEnE before she went on to be a part of Steven Universe. I especially like that because it kinda makes me feel better for liking both shows, since they do have some connection with each other. Ever since I discovered it, I wanted to do some fan-art and see how it would possibly look like in color, but you can see the original storyboards bellow. ^^
